We are currently looking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a dynamic research & development center in Bulgaria, supporting one of the fastest-growing startups in the FinTech industry. Our client is revolutionizing the way millions of people compare and buy insurance with the power of artificial intelligence, technology, and superior product design.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with the product team to architect and develop new features.
- Optimize existing features using modern development techniques to enhance speed and reliability.
- Write comprehensive test suites that ensure the robustness of our codebase.
- Deploy to production frequently, maintaining a high level of code quality and performance.
What You Need to Succeed
- Over 4 years of experience in building backend applications using modern web frameworks, specifically Python + Django, or Node.js.
- Proficiency in analyzing code performance to identify and implement optimization opportunities.
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests.
- Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases (including MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and Redshift).
- Fluent spoken and written English skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with task workflow systems such as Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and AWS.
- Frontend development experience, particularly with React.
